Acer Liquid E Video Review

Released as the newest Android device offered by Rogers and running Android 2.1 (Expected to be updated to 2.2) is the Acer Liquid E.

The device is a well designed, sleek glossy handset with curved edges. It has a 3.5 inch touchscreen with 480×800 px. You get images and video from a 5MP  camera with the only problem being low quality sound in the video.

The on screen keyboard seems to be fine, as well as good response from the touchscreen. It has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, that has been underclocked to 768 to preserve the battery. I’m sure you could fix that with root access.

Adding to this is the WiFi, full HTML browser, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, App Market, Bluetooth, and up to 32GB Micro SD. The phone does have a cheap feel however and could be why Rogers is only asking $49.99 on contract and it is down to $375 off contract. It is likely to reach $0 on contract before long.
