The HTC HD2 was an object of lust for Android fans for quite sometime earlier this year(before the EVO was announced that is!). Regarded as one of the best Windows Mobile 6.5 powered handsets with a 4.3-inch capacitive display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 576MB of RAM, and a 5 megapixel camera, the handset lacks no where in terms of hardware. However, the one thing it is missing is Android! Because of this, earlier this year several hackers set out to port Android to the HD2.
Up until now the port project was plagued with problems regarding the HD2′s processor along with the Linux boot tool dubbed HaRET. Thankfully, those problems have been solved and it looks like Android for the HD2 will be a go very soon! Personally, I can’t wait.
As Android fans are you excited about this? Do you plan on hacking Android on your HD2? Let us know in the comments!
