Samsung Galaxy 'Beam' Android Projector Phone Launching in July

Samsung appears to be working hard to get their Android powered phones out the door and into customers’ hands.  While many of us might be looking forward to the Galaxy S and its 4″ Super AMOLED display, Samsung would like you to keep in mind that the Samsung Galaxy Beam will be launching next month.  The DLP pico projector equipped Android 2.1 phone will be launching in Singapore in July and should be rolling out to other countries in Asia and Europe during the summer months.

The Samsung Galaxy Beam may not have the muscle to compete with the Galaxy S, but the inclusion of the pico projector, 3.7″ Super AMOLED display, TV out, DLNA support, FM radio, and a huge 1800 mAh battery should attract enough customers to allow both handsets to compete in the same markets.  We’re not exactly sure why it is taking Samsung this long to get the Galaxy Beam out the door.  The handset was announced more than a month before the Galaxy S.  Hopefully Samsung has used to extra time to tweak their TouchWiz 3.0 UI  to make sure that consumers get the best possible user experience out of the Samsung Galaxy Beam.
