Another 7″ tablet is out and this one comes from Chile. Nicknamed the T7-3G, this tablet looks more like an e-reader and that is exactly how the company is promoting it. Chile is actually the name of a Chinese company who has come out with this tablet and they are touting this as an e-reader that can also be a tablet.
Some of the specs we know about so far include a 7 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 800 X 600. It runs on an ARM11 processor that runs at 720 MHz and has Android 2.1 installed as its operating system. The tablet has 256 MB of ram and 2 gigabytes of flash storage with the majority of that used up by the OS. It has a 32 gigabyte capacity on its SDHC slot. Wifi and 3G mobile networks come standard as well. The spec sheet notes that one can send text messages with the device which leads me to think it might be possible to make calls as well. Also standard is the ability to download apps from the Android Market. The battery powering this 420 gmdevice is a 4500 mAh battery. One cool feature is the integrated accelerometer which makes sure the screen rotates each time the orientation is changed.
As I mentioned above, the brand is Chile but the company is Chinese and there is little belief that this model will ever make it out of China. At this time there is no pricing or inventory information to share. Just one more 7″ tablet powered by Android coming soon!
