The long awaited Galaxy Beam by Samsung is finally going to be launched on July 17 in Singapore. Starhub is the carrier that will offer the device. In case you did not know, the Galaxy Beam is the world’s first handset with pico projector from Texas Instruments built in! The Beam will come with a 3.7″ WVGA Super AMOLED screen, Android 2.1 with TouchWiz 3.0, an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and auto focus. The phone will also boast a front facing VGA camera, GPS DLNA AllShare, FM Radio and much more.
Android fans take note, this phone will come with one of the biggest batteries ever put into a phone! (1800 mAh) It will ship with Android 2.1 with no current news of an update. I would assume it would get an update soon after release. Depending on which plan you choose, it can be free all the way up to SG$398.
