There has been some speculation recently about the adoption HTC EVO 4G or Droid Incredbile in Europe. For this to be successful, the device would most likely have to be on GSM. Leaks have suggested the device will be named the HTC Ace, whether it is modeled from the EVO 4G or Droid Incredible, no one knows for sure.
However, a recent quote from Eric Lin, at UPLINQ 2010, shed some light into the subject.
“But I definitely think that because of all of the interest that people have had in the Evo, and how well it’s been selling, that you’ll definitely see European carriers be like ‘uh-oh, maybe we should get something like that’. But I don’t have anything [to announce] quite yet.”
The important part to take away from that quote is ‘quite yet’. It sounds like an announcement might not be too far off. Keep checking back for more updates!
