By all accounts, the DG07 update that South Korean Galaxy S owners were treated to late last week, has done wonders for the phone’s Bluetooth A2DP playback and helped ensure the handset’s place in the hearts of Koreans. They sold 300,000 units in nineteen days there. Good news for carrier SK Telecom, who have the Galaxy S on an exclusive. For Samsung, its not enough; having sold over a million worldwide already they are now talking of selling ten million in total. One can see no reason why they shouldn’t.
Also in Korea Pantech are soon to release their new high-end Android phone, the not so snappily titled Vega IM A650S. Its a top-notch phone though, with 3.7 inches of AMOLED screen estate and 1GHz Snapdragon lurking inside. It runs Android 2.1 and packs all the features you would expect. No news on price or even network yet but expect Sky and maybe SK Telecom to carry it. More as we get it, of course.
