Barnes and Noble just released firmware version 1.4 for the nook, and it was only a matter of time before devs cracked in to the root level. This opens up some extra features that are only available once the device is rooted. All that is required is a couple of pieces of software and a FAT 32 formatted SD card. It seems to be pretty straight forward and judging by all of the apps the nook community has come up with, it is worth your time!
