The CEO of Toshiba Australia, Mark Whittard, made a really quick announcement that they intend to compete with the iPad. They will be launching seven inch tablets with Windows 7 and Android. These may be followed by 10 inch tablets soon after launch. He was very hesitant on details, saying “We will only reveal the product the day before. This market is brutally competitive and we do not want to tip our hand too much.” He did say that there would be both a USB and HDMI port.
