As we broke the story a few weeks back Rogers announced today that they are going to be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate.This phone was orginally launched earlier last month in the U.S. by AT&T but this version will differ as it will not be locked down to Android Market Only Applications like the AT&T Version.

“You may have seen the buzz in the US about the Samsung Galaxy S. We’re excited to announce that we will be adding the highly-anticipated Galaxy S Captivate to our Android and Social View lineup in the coming weeks.
Rogers was the first to bring Android to Canada and we’re excited to add the Galaxy S Captivate to Canada’s most comprehensive list of Android devices.
More details will be available in the coming weeks.”
