Recently we were informed about the new Google Voice widget for Android 2.2 that would come integrated into the firmware of the T-Mobile G2. That was just the beginning of it. It turns out that was just the setting menu of the widget, which will also display the text of recently-transcribed voicemail. Now we have screen shots from the leaked Froyo ROM for the G2 to get a feel for what we can expect come September 29th. Overall the ROM doesn’t seem to be anything necessarily game changing considering that it looks just the same as any other vanilla Android 2.2 we have seen on the market lately, but there are a few things we have seen that is really worth mentioning. You will see that while what we come to know as HTC Sense is not yet fully implemented on the device, HTC Calibrate is still present. We also get a look at the standard T-Mobile apps that will come on the device. This should give Android lovers, that love HTC hardware, something to get truly excited about.
