1-800-Recycling.com Android App Helps Us Recycle Easier

There are countless ways to access directories that provide assistance with recycling items you can’t leave curbside. One such way is via 1-800-Recycling.com. They have made recycling easier than putting that water bottle in a blue bin, the “My Recycle List” app now available in the Android market.

This app is an extremely comprehensive “all items, all zip codes” recycling app designed for Android. The application helps its users locate recycling centers nearby that accept items that they select from a list. You can create a personal list for items and locations that are frequented. Just like the website and phone system, 1-800-Recycling’s app is centered on convenience and offers a wealth of tips and strategies for recycling the most items in the least amount of trips.

John Sherigan, Chairman and CEO of Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), said “Having our ‘My Recycle List’ tool be available to Android users is yet another step forward for our mission to provide tools, through 1-800-Recycling.com, to make the recycling process easier for everyone.”

ERI, the parent company of 1-800-Recycling, is the nation’s leading recyclers of electronics and e-waste.

Sherigan added, “Now anyone anywhere can be a part of the recycling process – whether you are at home or at work, our site, our phone system and our app are all available, free of charge, to increase accessibility to the recycling process. It used to be a challenge to figure out how and where to recycle unwanted items – now, thanks to the variety of technologies we’ve developed, we are literally bringing simple recycling tools to everywhere life happens.”

You can use any of the 1-800-Recycling.com services (even the app), to learn how and where to recycle just about anything you can think of, such as electronics, tires, oil, paint, plastic, wood, mattresses, carpet, etc. All recycling services that are provided are prescreened to ensure they are operating with safe, responsible practices.
