News is being leaked today that the upcoming Liquid Metal by Acer is going to be made of, well, metal. Now this may not seem like a big deal but this may not be your standard aluminum metal used for phones. The pictures below not only show what appears to be an aluminum casing but also another bronze colored casing which has led to speculation that this phone may be fully crafted out of the metal all together. Whatever the case may be this phone is shaping up to be a pretty slick looking handset. The specs for the phone, so far, are:
3.6 WVGA screen
Camera with flash (MP not yet confirmed)
Bluetooth 3.0
Android 2.2 with a skin called Acer Shell 4.0
512MB RAM and ROM
Qualcomm MSM7230 88Mhz processor
Adreno 205 GPU
There has been no mention yet as to what carrier this will be part of or a release date. Stay tuned as we get more information over the next couple weeks.
