Fido has now officially confirmed that they will indeed be releasing Acer’s Liquid e handset. For those who aren’t familiar with the Acer handset, the Liquid e is a mid range android handset that will be released running the Android 2.1 OS. Acer has opted to use 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for this phone and also equipped it with a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, full HTML browser, microSD slot that will handle a 32GB card. The pricing for the phone is going to be $50 with a 3 year contract or $350 non contract. The Acer Liquid e is a good starting Android phone for those who are new to the community. It will be interesting what other handsets end up being part of the Fido line-up. Hopefully we will start hearing more about their handset line-up in the coming months.
