Froyo Update for Droid X Comes with Problems

Droid X has finally got its Froyo update a few days ago, but it didn’t come without problems. For some users, everything is fine, while others experience all sorts of issues.

One of the issue is related to an audio bug. Apparently, the audio is either cutting off or it’s not working at all in most apps, including Google Voice voicemails and mp3 players. Some users have reported that this problem can be solved by doing a complete reset of the app data.

Another major issue seems to be a SMS bug. The chronological order of the received messages seems to be not working properly, with new messages going to the bottom of the list, instead of the top, as they normally do. If you’re big on text messaging, this might frustrate you quite a bit, because you might miss messages. Some users say that the SMS Time Fix app, which is free in the Android Market, will fix this issue.

Motorola and Verizon have promised to release updates for these issues as soon as possible.
