During the IFA Conference this past week the Samsung Galaxy Apollo (GT-i5510) was seen running Android 2.2. Now this may not be huge news but it does give us some insight as to what to expect when this phone releases. Also another thing that should be noted is the overall specs for the Apollo that we have gained so far. Here is the rundown at the moment:
3.2 inch screen
5 megapixel camera but no flash
Wi-Fi
3G
HSDPA
Bluetooth
1Ghz Snapdragon Processor (Same as the Galaxy S)
Slide out QWERTY Keyboard
Touchwiz UI
Android 2.2
So with these kinds specs it safe to assume that this phone may not be as “high profile” and the Galaxy S phones, but it should still sell very well nonetheless. Although no official announcement has been given from Samsung concerning the handset, Vodaphone is saying that the phone will release to Germany and the rest of Europe sometime in October. Stay tuned.
