We know how popular our site is with you Brits, and to say thanks, we decided to dedicate today’s World Round Up to your great island.
First up, the LG Optimus One, a neat little Froyo powered mid-range phone will be hitting British shores before the end of October, courtesy of T-Mobile. It comes with a free car cradle for Google Nav although we’re not sure how it’ll fit on to a big red bus.
Cheap as chips
Alcatel have been providing cheap phones for the great unwashed ever since phones were first invented and the OT-980 (left) is the first Android handset to fit that mould. Running OS 2.1 the OT-980 only has a 2.8 inch screen but it does have a slide-down qwerty keyboard and despite the measly 2MP camera its not half bad considering it’ll cost less than a hundred quid (hundred-eighty bucks). Coming in October the OT-980 should look great poking out of any shell suit.
Everybody has been talking about it
The HTC Desire HD that is, and so they should, its a fantastic phone. Not surprisingly T-Mobile UK are amongst the first off the blocks to be offering the 4.3 inch wunderphone come October.
T-Mo are not talking prices yet but online store eXpansys are, and as of today, are taking pre-orders on the Desire HD for £500 ($900) and the Desire Z for £450 ($800)
Looks like a great autumn ahead in Great Britain.
