Although this phone was previously leaked, having a hands-on review can’t compare. Android Central did a hands-on review on the Verizon Samsung Continuum, a phone that has yet to be announced.
No internal specs are actually known, but outer appearances paint a pretty picture. At first glance, the Continuum looks like a smaller version of the Fascinate sans physical keyboard. The display seems to be the standard Super-AMOLED found on Galaxy phone and four capacitive buttons. But the strangest thing of all is the row of buttons below the capacitive buttons known as a “ticker” that allows you to add feeds such as news, Facebook, RSS feeds, weather, and email.
As far as buttons on the sides of the phone, the power can be found on top, in contrast to the right side bezel found on Galaxy phones The USB/charger is found right next to the power button and the phone jack is found on the right top corner. The volume rocker can be located on the left side bezel. The back cover reads Galaxy S, has a 5 Megapixel camera, and a rear speaker.
As far as software, it is running the same TouchWiz and Live Wallpapers found on all Galaxy S phones with the ability to change the dock icons. Unfortunately, TouchWiz isn’t the worse thing this phone has. Bing takes that prize. That’s right, yet another Android phone with Bing as the default browser. I am really hoping that Verizon sticks to their story about not all phones having Bing on Android.
Some other important details, such as price and launch date are not known but do expect that information to get leaked as we approach the launch date.
