While the verdict is still out as to how much these scores really mean, someone ran them on the new myTouch HD. No matter which side of the fence you are on with benchmarks, they do give us an idea of the computing power of a device. Now this may or may not show any difference in actual use, but that is for another aticle.
The myTouch HD scored a whopping 1,800 on a Quadrant, blowing phones like the Evo and Nexus One out of the water. The Linpack however was kind of disappointing. Scoring a 34.4 which falls short of the Evo.
These scores are right up there with some of the most popular android phones out there. Not the best I’ve ever seen, but pretty good. Makes me wonder what the speed hungry developers out there will be able to do with it after tearing into it. If these are any indication, the myTouch HD could be a real contender.
