We now know that the Dell Streak will be released on Rogers Wireless in November. Rogers Wireless retailers will begin seeing Dummy models on their displays by the end of October, with the Streak being in stock in the early part of November.
For those of you new to the Android World, the Dell Streak is described as a cross between a smart phone and a tablet. Small enough to make calls with yet its 5″ touch screen is very impressive and boasts some great specs.
Here is an idea of what is built into the Dell Streak:
- Android OS 1.6 (with an update to 2.2 by years end)
- 5-inch WVGA (800×480) built with Cornings “Gorilla Glass”
- 1GHz Snapdragon Processor
- 512 MB Rom + 512 MB SDRAM
- Up to 32 Gigs with microSD slot
- 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash
- Front facing VGA camera
- 3.5 mm headphone jack
- all the usual suspects are here as well. GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.
Rogers Wireless seems to be loading up their calendar with tablet releases coming soon. The Galaxy Tab is on it’s way, and plans for the iPad are in the near future. We’ll keep an eye out for any release news and keep you updated.
