Samsung Galaxy Tab hits VZW on November 11 @ $600

Verizon made the launch of the Galaxy Tab official with a date set for November 11, a huge day for simultaneous release at VZW. What we weren’t quite expecting is that the Tab is not coming with a subsidized price. It will be sold for $599.99 and buyers will have the option to tack on the data plan. The data plan is consistent with tiered pricing with $20/month getting you 1GB of data, the same service option that will be offered for the iPad when the time comes.

The Galaxy Tab will come pre-loaded with the typical Verizon software such as V Cast, VZ Navigator, Slacker Radio, Kindle and even Blockbuster. Users will even have access to Verizon’s exclusive V Cast app store.

Despite offering the Tab without a subsidy, take note that the device still comes in just a smidge cheaper than the iPad.

For your viewing pleasure, I have included a photo gallery and the official press release below.

Would rather have a Tablet like this with a higher price and no contract or cheaper upfront cost and be locked in to a contract data plan? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
