The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab is finally here and ready to be seen by the world. The guys over at SlashGear were generous enough to set up their camera and show you the glorious moment of unboxing it rather than keeping it to themselves. See the unboxing take place here.

For those of you that don’t know about the Samsung Galaxy Tab it is the first Android based tablet made by Samsung (obviously). When released it will run on Android 2.2 Froyo. It has a 7″ LCD capacitive touch screen with 1024×600 pixels resolution, cell phone capabilities, complete with front camera for video calling, 16/32GB built-in memory, expandable up to 64GB (for the 32GB version) and 3MP camera with LED flash. Its browser is both Adobe Flash and HTML5 capable. Sprint has announced that it will be releasing the tablet on Sunday November 14th and Verizon will release it on November 11th. The Sprint version will run you about $399, bundled with a two-year subscription to Sprint’s 3G Tablet Mobile Broadband plan. The price to buy it off contract is $600, with data options available in $29.99 for 2GB and $59.99 for 5GB of data. Verizon will be selling the tablet for $599 as well and to get 3G connectivity you have to agree to the $20 a month data plan which gives you up to 1 gb of 3G data. More information can be found on the Sprint and Verizon website.
