The Nano-phone is here
Anyone want a 1.3 inch screen? Check out the LiveView (pictured) Its not really a phone but an accessory or secondary-display as Sony Ericsson are calling it and the fantastic Le Journal du Geek are saying that it will be available from the end of November and should cost around €69 ($95) I guess its down to the imagination of developers to see what can be done with such peripherals, I know I can think of a few things already, I’m sure you can too. So, come on boffins – get yer thinking caps on!
Market app quietly upgrading
If you are lucky enough to live in one of those countries where Android applications have only just been made available (or unlucky enough to have not) then you may well notice the recent changes reflected in the built-in market app we all have on our phones. You may not though because there is no notification with this upgrade.
Milestone 2 launch date
The slim and slidy Motorola Milestone 2 will be available online from October 18 according to the buzz here in the UK. As is usual with Motorola, there is no sign of any network deals but a SIM free set will cost you £449 ($808) from eXpansys.
Sharp movers
Tech shows in Japan are always worth keeping an eye on and CEATEC 2010 is no exception. Sharp’s entry into the Android tablet market was perhaps not a surprise but with 5.5 and 10.8 inch versions the Galapagos e-reader tablets should make sure that this is not the last we see of Sharp in this arena.
Latest but nicest
In my opinion anyway by far the coolest of the recent spate of budget Android tablets to hit European shelves are the Advent Amico and the Advent Vega (£129 ($232) and £250 ($450) respectively) due to go on sale through Dixons and retail partners from the beginning of November.
