World Round Up: Xperia X8 from Tesco – Desire HD Price News – Galaxy Tab in Japan and Germany, Defy in France

Every little helps
Nearly 13% of all the money spent in the UK is spent in a Tesco supermarket. They stopped selling just food a long time ago and today you can buy anything at all at Tesco’s including the cracking little Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 via o2 UK for just £130 ($230) That’s a PAYG SIM, so that might not be quite as tasty a price as it sounds – call costs are likely to be the usual mixture, depending on which networks you call, making it impossible to properly calculate how much it’ll cost you over time. Still, its a great price for what promises to be a great phone.

Pre-Order Free Desire HD
As of this Thursday (14th Oct) Vodafone UK will be stocking the marvelous HTC Desire HD and with a 2 year £35 ($60) a month contract they’ll throw in the handset free.

Defy to launch in France
With Vodafone and T-mobile each set to carry the “life-proof” Motorola Defy in various parts of Europe, ie the UK and Germany, its now expected, although not confirmed, that MobiFrance will be following suite sometime before November.

Wunderbar
The wonderful Samsung Galaxy Tab is due for release in Germany in the next two or three weeks according to O2. As usual the fact that it will cost around a grand is being glossed over with tempting little offers with the majority of the cost swept under the carpet of monthly payments, but you know how it works.

Galaxy Tab and S to hit Japan this month
As is often the case, What was a rumor last week is now a fact and DoCoMo Japans biggest carrier have confirmed that they will be offering the Wonderful Samsung Galaxy S and the Galaxy Tab from November. What will ensure good sales is that both devices will feature i-mode compatibility for email and a new e-book service to start this month.
