Dell Opus One Will Be the Next Gen Streak, Features Dual-Core Chip

Dell is working on their next generation Streak 5 inch mini-tablet, which will apparently be called Dell Opus One. It will feature Qualcomm’s dual core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon SoC with the Adreno 220 graphics processor. The tablet will also have an HD display resolution, something like 1280 x 800.

Dell plans to release this tablet in May 2011, so hopefully it won’t come with a one year old Android version, like say Froyo, but at least Gingerbread or even Honeycomb if it’s released earlier than Google’s I/O in May. I know that Dell is now manufacturing WP7 phones, too, but if they plan on selling Android devices and do well, they might as well do them right.
