Did Someone Say 3D Video Calling??

Last week, Sharp announced two new glasses-free 3D phones for Softbank. The 003SH and the 005SH have similar features including Android 2.2, Sharp’s UI, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 3.8 inch 3D display. The 003SH has a 9.6 MP camera, Touchscreen only being released in December while the 005SH has an 8 MP camera with a full QWERTY keyboard being released in late February. The phones have the capability of not only displaying 3D images, but also capturing 3D images.

From all the excitement, a noteworthy feature not mentioned is that the two phones are equipped with a 3D camera. What does this mean? Well, aside from taking 3D pictures, you can also do video calling in 3D. This will be interesting to see how this will work as far as compatibility and quality of the call. I leave you with a promotional video for the phones, in case you missed it.
