FlightView Elite app launched on Android

With the holiday season starting off, and airports kicking into high gear, a little more help getting travelers where they need to be is always welcome. FlightView, known for having the most accurate, real-time flight info has just launched an upgraded version of their Android app currently on the market. With FlightView users are able to track flights, plan for delays, and call airlines directly to re-book flights. FlightView Elite, as the new app is known, keeps all the original has to offer while adding some great new features including :

  • Flight Boards – from where you can view and sort through arriving and departing flights for all of the top U.S. and Canadian airports
  • Directions to the airport – view airport locations on a map and obtain turn-by-turn driving directions from the current location
  • Weather Forecasts – seven-day forecasts for over 900 airports around the world

“The holiday travel season is always hectic, whether you’re flying for work or leisure – or picking up friends from the airport, having actionable travel information in the palm of your hand can make it much easier. Our new Android app – FlightView Elite – provides instant access to important flight information – when and where you need it.” Mike Benjamin, CEO of FlightView

Since July, the basic FlightView app for Android has been downloaded over 144, 000 times and is available in the market for free, or 99 cents for an ad-free version. The FlightView Elite version will cost you $3.99, but if you’re a frequent flyer that added cost may be well worth it. You can find the elite version by scanning the QR code below with your mobile device or by heading to the market and searching for FlightView.
