Next Issue Media service coming to Android

If you’re a fan of digital media where and when you want it, starting next year you will have another outlet to fill those needs. Next Issue Media, which provides digital distribution of many popular consumer magazines, has announced its plans to enter the world of Android. They are describing their future service as “Hulu for magazines”. The reason for the choice of Android over say Apple for this service comes from CEO Morgan Geunther who said, “the choice to bring this to Android devices first wasn’t because they favored Android over the popular iOS platform, but because Apple’s terms did not lend themselves well to the publishers Next Issue is partnered with”. So there you have it, another slap for Apple, a plus for Android, and more media coming your way in 2011.
