We got a few updates from Notion Ink today, it seems that most of it was no more than stuff for developers and people that understand the product as it is being put together, etc. One big deal we did hear today though was this:
FCC: We are on time for this and you could hold devices in your hands on or before Christmas (and as hinted earlier, if we miss Christmas, then CES or New Year). Pre-booking will start in early December (if the case id prior). Already received FCC for the chargers!
Christmas! What? Very nice! This is pretty exciting for everyone who has been waiting on this tablet, I know I have been waiting since it got announced, me and a troop of others have been wanting to get a hold of this. Now the dreams seem to be days closer.
Some out there think that some pricing has leaked, I have heard some rumors myself that the most expensive unit will be around $500, but that is speculation, here is more:
- LCD Wi-Fi only version – $399
- LCD 3G version – $449
- Pixel Qi model Wi-Fi only version -$449
- Pixel Qi model 3G version – $498
This really sounds about right! Get ready for this!
