Rovio Mobile’s CEO Peter Vesterbacka recently said “By end of year, we project earnings of over $1 million per month with the ad-supported version of Angry Birds.” How is this even possible from and app that is free in the market? Shear numbers, with over 8 million downloads of Angry Birds it’s hard to find someone with an Android phone that doesn’t have it. The introduction of plush toys in their latest Angry Birds Season’s definately helps and Peter says this is only the beginning.
