This is one thing I am really excited to see at CES 2011 next week. Vidtonic is going to have their build your own Android-powered TV on display. This isn’t for everybody as I am sure there will be a chance to brick your TV. I am sure that a lot of really awesome things will come of this as soon as hackers from the Android community get their hands on these. Here is what’s included for those brave souls who may want to try this out.
- Housing
- Cables
- 1080P LCD panel
- Power supply
- The software to make it all work
We don’t know yet how much this is going to cost and that could be what makes or breaks this kit for Vidtonic. We should see the kit available in quarter 2 of 2011 with early orders being seen in the first quarter of 2011. I can’t wait to see what crazy things that find their was to the forums when they open right after CES.
