Development for Firefox Mobile, which is called Fennec on Android, is really heating up. Mozilla wants it to be a killer web browser, so it has been in process for quite a while now. Mozilla is inviting developers all over the world to submit innovative add-ons for Firefox Mobile (both Maemo and Android).
They are looking for entrants in the following areas:
Sports/Games Commerce/ Shopping Geolocation Productivity Sharing/Social Novelty/Innovation
There will be a panel of judges from all sorts of technical expertise backgrounds. They invite developers from all backgrounds and levels of experience to submit an add-on.
Of course there are some incentives. The grand prize winner gets a trip to Barcelona to attend the Mobile World Congress with a four night hotel stay and
$1000 in cash Android or Maemo phone of your choice Placement on the Firefox for mobile Start Page Showcased in a Featured Add-ons video distributed across Mozilla channels Blog post and Rock your Firefox spotlight
Sounds pretty good, huh? You have to enter before January 7, but if you submit before December 17 you will receive a limited edition Firefox 4 beta t-shirt.
