Firefox for Android has proven to be a popular browser providing some of the same features available on the desktop version, including add-ons. Firefox for Android, codename “Fennec,” has been in Beta for quite some time, but it now looks like it could soon be available in the Market.
Mozilla Engineer Matt Brubeck stated that a final version would be available to download by the end of this month. This should make some folks happy since those on AT&T are not allowed to download 3rd party apps, currently the only way to download Firefox for Android. There have been several updates since the beginning so we should be expecting a fully rounded app when it hits the market.
