Gingerbread is making its way to the HTC Droid Eris, of all handsets. It does seem a little odd that with so many newer high-end phones in need of a Gingerbread (Android OS 2.3) ROM, that the Eris would get one first but Eris owners rejoice. This version is not yet complete but many features are working already. The developer states there are still some issues, but there is a version for download and they are working to fix all the problems.
