Google Nexus S will NOT have SD card slot

The Samsung Nexus S has seen its share of rumors and speculation over the last few weeks, and now with it officially announced for release on December 16th, all rumors can come to rest. Anyone wondering if the device would come with a microSD card slot for all your extra Android goodies will surely be left disappointed. While the smartphone does come with 16GB of built-in memory, the tech specs on the official Nexus S page show the exclusion of expandable memory. Also, thanks to some detective work by androidpolice, two Google Android engineers have responded to their questioning via Twitter to confirm this news.

For the average Android user those 16GB’s should have you covered no problem, so this really shouldn’t be too much of a concern. If it makes you feel any better, the device does come with Android 2.3(Gingerbread), and the rest of the specs on the device aren’t too shabby.
