Google TV Remote App Now Adds Voice-Control

Using your Android phone as a remote control for Google TV just got much better with their recent update.

According to Google’s Blog, starting today you can download the Google TV Remote App in the Android Market.  Google TV’s first software update adds an app for Netflix, a dual-view feature that allows users to watch a show and surf the Web at the same time, voice search will allow you to search for your favorite shows or movies just by speaking into the phone, and you can go from small screen to big screen by sharing videos and websites directly from your phone to your TV!  Now, that’s a remote!

By partnering with Netflix, you can search, browse, and watch any movie or show in Netflix streaming catalog.  These titles can be added to your DVD queue if you want them mailed to you.  Better still, if you are not sure what to watch the new Netflix app will supply you with recommendations based on what you have watched in the past.

Using the dual-view feature you can watch Conan while tweeting about him on Twitter simultaneously.  Google TV has listened to your feedback since launching dual-view, so today they made it even better by allowing you to resize and move the window wherever you choose.
