In the last few weeks we’ve heard a lot about the new HTC Android device of a thousand names. It has gone by the HTC Knight, the Evo 4G Shift, and Speedy. It sounds like it will be another great addition to the Sprint Android line up, but what do we call it?
Now the device we’re not exactly sure what to call has shown up in a leaked Best Buy database screenshot. In the photo from Androidcentral, the HTC Knight name is shown with the model number PG01610, the same model number that showed up at the FCC not too long ago. Before this most recent model number, the Knight/Evo 4G/Speedy device also appeared in Sprint’s system as HTC A7373.
With CES next month, and the previous report that the new HTC device could be released in January, we might be a little closer to an actual launch, and a solid name. I’m sure we can rule out Speedy, but it would be nice to know what to call this thing before it hits the streets.
