The Consumer Electronics show is just around the corner and we’re sure to see plenty of great Android-related gadgets. Among those devices will be plenty of tablets.
Earlier this year, NEC released their Cloud Communicator Android tablet in Japan. The tablet features a 7-inch resistive-touch display with a resolution of 800 x 480, a 600 MHz Cortex A-8 processor, and Android 2.1.
At CES in January, NEC is set not only to debut the single screen Cloud Communicator (dubbed Life Touch) for North American audiences, but will also be showing a dual-screen version. Early reports say that the tablet will have two 7-inch displays, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and be compatible with a stylus. No word yet as to how the screens will be positioned (either side-by-side or on top of one another), but NEC did say that users will be able to run different applications on each screen, which should usher in a new level of multitasking.
No word yet on the final specs, but sources say that the processor could be bumped up to 1 GHz and the OS could be 2.2 or higher.
In addition to their tablets, NEC will also be announcing their new Android application market, andronavi.
