UK Android consumers will have to wait 2 extra days to get their hands on the new Samsung Nexus S. The device will now see its launch on December 22nd instead of the original release date of Dec. 20th. The reason for the delay, limited supplies for both Carphone Warehouse and at Best Buy outlets around the UK. Because of the low inventory levels, during the launch the Nexus will only be available in “key” stores, and by online order. If you buy online with Carphone Warehouse, the Nexus S can be sent to your nearest retail store with instant ship delivery. As for anyone who pre-ordered the device, those should be available on launch day.
With the delay, a price cut has shown up for the Nexus as well. The unlocked phone will now cost £429.99 instead of the original £549.95 price, and will be available for free with a £30 per month contract. To order the Nexus S online you can visit Carphonewarehouse.com or BestBuyUK to get started.
