With Mobile World Congress 2011 right around the corner in February, the Android community is about to recieve plenty of new great additions to the current line up. Sony Ericsson might finally reveal the much talked about Playstation phone, now being referred to as the Xperia Play.
Reveal or not, they have started sending out invites to the event. There isn’t too much to learn from the invite seen above, but it clearly says “new members” are coming. With most of the pressure on Sony to finally show off their much-rumored gaming phone, will they bring it to the masses? Of course they do have other smartphones in development, but we all know theres only one we really care to see right now.
The preview press event will be held on Feb. 13th, a day before MWC kicks off, so I’d expect plenty of leaks afterwards. The entire event will run Feb. 14th – 17th in Barcelona. You can check the Mobile World Congress website for all the details.
