The feature that is often being touted by WP7 users as the most important and unique one that WP7 has is the Xbox Live integration. Although I don’t see what the big deal is, since it’s not like it means you can play Xbox games on your phone, or anything like that. What it gives you is the ability to see your achievements and scores, and be able to play WP7 games with other WP7 users – so very little to do with the actual Xbox.
Well, good news Android users – soon you’ll have your PSN Android app from Sony, which offers much of the same features. It seems to be their answer to Microsoft’s Xbox Live. The app will be available on all Android versions from 1.6 and above (and also on iOS). Here’s the list of features that version 1.0 of the app will have:
- Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
- Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
- Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation Blog.
- Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.
