Android Police made a screenshot walkthrough of what has been changed in Gingerbread‘s UI. As expected, not much has changed at all. The UI has been getting some small improvements here and there, like getting more dark colors and giving some icons more green.
One of the more notable improvements is a new keyboard UI, which seems to look pretty good, although I still find it disappointing that it doesn’t seem to have the BlindType technology baked into it. Mike Arrington from Techcrunch reported earlier that typing accuracy is still worse than on an iPhone, and that shouldn’t happen if they used BlindType. I believe we’ll also have to wait for Honeycomb to get that.
Head over to AndroidPolice for the complete walkthrough of their screenshots that they took from the SDK emulator. But we have the screenshots right here for you to enjoy as well. Click on any image for a larger view.
