With all the excitement of the announcement of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the question now is whether the Nexus S will be made available for both United States GSM carriers, T-Mobile and AT&T. As we all know, the Nexus One was first available on Google’s website with both versions. Lack of sales caused the site to close down, making them only available from T-Mobile.
According to @tnkgrl, the Nexus S will come as AWS 1700 for T-Mobile and Wind and for Europe it will have the triband 3G 900/2100 band. This means that if you are on AT&T service, you will only get 2G speeds. There is no confirmation whether there will be another version available, but let’s hope Google gives us more options.
