Okay, so the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 was nothing stellar, but Sony Ericsson is looking to start fresh and deliver a promising media device. Judging by the hands- on video, I would definitely say the Arc is a huge improvement from the previous Xperia. The phone has a beautiful display (as you can see in the video) which SE is calling the “Reality Display.” I have to say if the video playback looks half as good in person this will definitely be a contender with the Super AMOLED screens on the Samsung Galaxy line.
The Arc comes out the box running the new Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread) and is partnered with the powerful 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. This device also sports a 8.1 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, auto-focus LED flash, and HDMI out. For those of you who pack a lot of media into your devices you’ll be happy to know that the Arc will ship with an 8 GB SD card capable of expanding to 3 2GB.
