Google’s Nexus One is one of two phones (the other being the Nexus S) that get updates directly from Google in the most timely manner of all Android phones. It still currently waits on the sidelines along with the other phones, but it should be getting updated rather shortly. On January 4th, @GoogleNexus on Twitter commented on the delay, stating it will be updated “within the coming weeks”. It’s a pretty safe bet to assume that this update will happen before MWC next month, where manufacturers will be announcing new phones that should be coming with Gingerbread themselves. The sooner the Nexus One gets updated, the sooner the rest of the updates should be coming out… right?
