Opera Coming to Android Tablets; Demo @ CES

Keeping the theme of CES 2011 Tablet oriented, Opera Software has announced via press release that its own browser will be making a debut at the show as Opera for Tablets. They just released Opera 11 for smartphones last month, but with increased focus on Tablets this year, it only makes sense to bring their software to the party. Opera for Tablets is said to be designed with touch in mind, featuring improved panning and zoom while “providing users with the smoothest tablet and netbook experience on the market.”

“Opera is creating waves with the first public preview of Opera for tablets. Opera for tablets brings the same trusted Internet experience to tablets and netbook PCs as users have come to love on their mobile phones and desktops.”

A preview build of Opera for Tablets will be on hand at CES for everyone to see. In the meantime, a promo video has been released giving a glimpse of what Opera will offer. It shows the future version running on a Galaxy Tab, and highlights a few of its features, nothing groundbreaking, but worth the look.
