Play.fm Releases Android App

When it comes to music, Play.fm is something in a league of its own, and they now have their own Android app. If you have never heard of Play.fm before, it is a streaming site that incorporates live DJ remixes and sets so that way you are no longer listening to the same dull music over and over again. Which, to me at least, is a nice change of pace. The Play.fm app take boatloads of mixes that were recorded live at different clubs, venues, and even festivals all over the world, and it incorporates them all into one app that is absolutely packed with features.

Some of the features of the app are below:

  • Listen to top-ranked DJs from over 180 countries
  • Get instant access to mixes recorded live in clubs, at festivals and radio shows
  • Sort DJ mixes by editorial features, popularity and most recent
  • Search and find your favorite mixes instantly
  • Filter mixes by genres
  • Jump to your favorite part within any mix with audio skipping to the second

Play.fm is not free, it is a paid subscription, but for ~$4.09 USD it is well worth the 90 days that you are going to get out of it. A short video put together by the guy at Play.fm is below along with the QR code to find it in the market.  Or you can access it via AppBrain.
