Sprint's Galaxy Tab the first to be overclocked at 1.2 GHz

It had to happen and quite frankly, we’re surprised it took this long. The Samsung Galaxy Tab for Sprint has finally been overclocked at 1.2 GHz. While this achievement opens the doors for more speed, it doesn’t do well in terms of functionality…yet. This is due to the kernel currently being in “Extremely Alpha Code” according to Bauxite over at XDA Developers who is responsible for the hack.

The overclocked Quadrant score is 1129, along with a Linpack Score of 17.112. This clearly shows an improvement over stock, and some users are reporting the process worked without a hitch. As great as this news is however, we urge you to use caution when modifying your device in any way, especially when flashing a kernel – use at your own risk.
