SwipePad beta is a new app to hit the Android market and has a fairly new concept. When enabled, you just swipe up on the screen while in an app or practically anywhere else and you get a quick list of 12 shortcuts or applications. While this is similar to the built-in “recent apps” in Android 2.x, this one is configurable! I tried this out earlier and as long as it’s battery friendly (too early to tell) it’ll be a keeper. To change the 12 items you just swipe to open it and longpress on an item until it’s highlighted in orange to change it. This is definitely one of those “easier to try than explain” apps, and since it’s free there’s no reason not to.
