The small Israeli company, Modu, has officially announced it will be closing it’s doors due to unpaid debt and inability to pay employee salaries. We are carrying this story because, as many didn’t know, some of these phones were running the Android operating system.
Modu phones hold the record for the world’s lightest phone from Guinness World Records with their Modu T. What set these phones apart from the rest is that users could insert the phone into various “jackets” to change the look and personality of it.

It’s sad to have to see this company close shop, but that’s just the result of the fierce competition that exists in the mobile industry today.
